2019 Artemis Journal launch at the Taubman Museum in Roanoke. My dear friends Nancy Norton (right) and Teri Hoover (left) joined me in celebrating our acceptance to the 2019 Artemis Journal. This was the first time for all of us to be accepted into the journal at the same time.

Much has happened since that time. All of us have left Blacksburg, VA. Teri went north to Alexandria area. I am now in Ohio. Nancy lives out west somewhere. Little did I imagine when this pic was taken that we would all scatter to the winds.
To the right is my work Moving On, one of a 4-part series, acrylic and collage on paper, printed in the 2019 edition of the wonderful Artemis Journal. I have been honored to be included in this annual journal since 2018 and again for the upcoming edition 2025. This premier literary and art journal has been published annually for over 45 years, featuring hundreds of artists and writers from the Appalachian Region, including the Blue Ridge Mountains, and beyond. It is an enormous honor to be a part of it for so long.
Lemons and More, oil, 12x12, was selected for the 2025 edition of the Artemis Journal. It was started in an oil painting class on the shores of Lake Erie, finished in my Ohio studio.
